Celeste Holm passes away :(

Hello, my beautiful ones. Very sad news today, Oscar Award Winning actress, Celeste Holm, passed away at age 95. She died in her New York home after being hospitalized the week before. She is survived by her husband, two sons, and three grandchildren. Celeste Holm won an Oscar for her role in Gentleman's Agreement, but I will always remember her for her flawless performance as bff to the leading lady in All About Eve. 

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau dead at 86

Hello, gorgeous fans. The great baritone, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, has died at age 86. This comes after a big week of losses in both the operatic and pop world: Donna Summer and Herbert Breslin. Fischer-Dieskau is considered the one of the greatest interpreters of German Lieder of the 20th century with fabulous recordings of Schubert, Brahms, etc. He will always be remembered for his lyrical baritone and gorgeous musicality.

RIP Maurice Sendak

Hello, gorgeous ones. Legendary Children's Author, Maurice Sendek, died early Tuesday after having a stroke. He was 83 years old. His books have inspired generations of children, also spawning some fabulous animated versions of his books, feature films and even operas (Yes, there's a Where the Wild Things Are opera!). I was personally a huge fan of In the Night Kitchen! He will never be forgotten. Recently, Colbert did a hilarious interview with him on his show! Check it out here!
