Hello, gorgeous fans. So every once in a while I love to torture myself and watch the segment of the Company documentary where Elaine Stritch is struggling to get down a solid track of her singing the now, LEGENDARY song, "The Ladies Who Lunch." At the time, if you've watched Elaine's one woman show, or simply read about her online, Elaine was a raging alcoholic, and it was probably the worst around the time Company was on Broadway. I was talking about this with a friend of mine not too long ago, and we were both saying how it KILLS us to see all those nasty men be so mean to her. They know she's struggling, they know she's trying to make it the best possible, and whether they're just assholes, or they're milking it for the documentary, they're the worst. Haven't we all been there? That moment when we just don't have anymore to give, and then the people who should be inspiring us and getting us to deliver turn on us...take note conductors, directors and administrators. This is how douchey you look. Also!!! check out Elaine's struggle and eventually triumph in this fab clip!
