Opening night of Bombshell Baby! was an enormous success! We were oversold and had to add seats to accommodate all the patrons! The audience was also just simply fantastic. You may not know this about me, my adoring fans, but I am prone to stage fright, but the second I got out there tonight, I knew this audience was ready for our show. There are still 4 performances left, so don't miss our fabulous show! The work people have put into it is incredible and it shows. I am so thankful for the amazing cast and crew. Bombshell Baby tech day!

Hello, my gorgeous, adoring fans! Bombshell Baby! is now IN the theater and we had our tech rehearsal today! It went so well and everyone was so fun and patient as we worked through the show with sets and costumes. I can't BELIEVE the gorgeous work Nate Cabana, Stephen Hrivnak, Tiffany Bibuld, Emily Edwards, Tom Magilla and Rachel Felstein have put into the show. It's going to look amazing! COME ONE, COME ALL! 

My current nail obsession

Hello, my gorgeous, amazing fans. So, I am obsessed with Adele and Lana Del Rey, despite their very different levels of talent. I love Lana's look, and enjoy her dark, weird, oddly haunting songs. Adele is just the best in every way as well, but is clearly the superior artist, BUT BOTH ALWAYS HAVE AMAZING nails! In Lana's "Born to Die" video she has a killer manicure with red v shaped tips, and a gold stripe on the v...obsessed. Adele always has amazing nails too. A highlight for me when it comes to Adele's nails was at the Grammy's when her nails matched her Louboutin pumps, but I also love the look she does where she'll have a nude color and then black tips...obsessed. Today I tried out doing one of Lana's nail looks, without the gold stripe, and I'm obsessed with it. I made the mistake of letting the woman doing them put the red on top of two coats of the nude and it's ALREADY chipping, but after doing some research, I found that if you use tape to make the v-shape you can then apply the nude color and then take the tape off and have the perfect V to fill in with the red color you so choose. Still on the hunt for a good gold to complete this look. Obsessed... for my nails I used the Christian Dior Safari Beige and OPI Little Red Wagon.

Mariah Carey on American Idol?

Hello, my gorgeous fans! Rumors have been flying, but it sounds like Mariah Carey will be a judge on the next season of American Idol. It's being said that Mariah will make a WHOPPING $17 million a year from her new contract...that is crazy. That's more than Britney makes on X-Factor! Nuts! Mariah isn't the only rumored judge. Supposedly ARETHA FRANKLIN is eying one of the judging spots on the show...wow. That would be one ridiculously amazing judges table.

E.L.F cosmetics! MUST READ for bargain cosmetic hunters!

Hello, my gorgeous, makeup applying fans! So, I've been dreadfully busy with Bombshell Baby, but a week or so back I had placed an order from E.L.F cosmetics and completely forgot about it because I got slow shipping, and it was so incredibly cheap that I wasn't like, "WHERE DID $200 GO out of my account?!" I was so pleasantly surprised today when the package came and there was just an ENORMOUS amount of makeup inside it. Just to put this into perspective...I got 30 things for under $50. Now, let me explain. E.L.F cosmetics is an online only makeup store and they normally have things for $3-$4, and then they even have a line of things for $1. Last week they were having a 50% off sale...so...that's how I got so many things for SO LITTLE.

I had been really skeptical about purchasing from them because none of the "makeup gurus" I watch on youtube have done big E.L.F hauls, but many others have and normally they'd find a few things they liked but it wasn't always spectacular, but when I saw that they were having this insane sale, I just had to go for it. It's a lot of stuff, and I haven't tried it all yet, so I'll start with a few items that caught my eye and review more in the coming days.

I have to say, I like all the lip glosses, besides a fuchsia one called "Funky Fuchsia," which just smells like awful, dentist, bubble gum stuff, but all the other lip glosses are really great. I got a one from the "Pout Perfecter" line called "Miami, which is sort of like a NARS orgasm gloss dupe. I got a "Glitter Gloss" in "Dazzling Diamond," which I like, but maybe not as a lip gloss. I HATE chunky glitter in lip glosses. I think it's weird, but...I might try and use it to set eye shadow...hmmmmm. And then this fuchsia stuff...blegh. The color is fine, but the smell is just so gross. See, this is what I mean, sometimes E.L.F stuff reveals itself to just be not well made, but sometimes you luck out. I also got one of their "mineral glosses" in "Au Naturale," which is actually pretty similar to the "Miami" color I got, but they were $1.50 at the sale price, so I can't complain.

Onto a few more lip products. I purchased one of their "mineral lipsticks," but I'd have to do more research to find out if any of this stuff is actually made with minerals. It's a great color though, called "Natural Nymph," which reminds me of a MAC lipstick called "Myth," which I like a lot. It's creamy and pigmented. I also got two of the Matte lip color sticks, which I really like. The nude color I got called "Nearly Nude," is really nice and simple, does what it's supposed to. The red color "Rich Red," I'd be more interested to see how that lasted throughout an evening...will update, but it's very nice. I also got one of the $1 (50 cent during the sale) lipsticks, but again, it smells awful, will not be using that one.

The last product I will talk about is this concealer pencil I got. I was fiddling around with it for a bit, and I decided I like it. I don't know if I'd use it every day, but maybe I might if I was in a rush or wanted to try something different. A few companies have these "concealer pencils," like Urban Decay, Art Deco, etc. At first I was apprehensive, but they all seem to have found a way to make the pencil creamy enough that it blends well. I will say that this E.L.F pencil is the least easily blended, but here's why it's cool. The cap for the pencil is ALSO a sharpener! (LOVE!) Also, the other end has a blending brush, which actually seems like pretty good quality. It's a little too small, but I'm into it. I was NOT completely disappointed in this product.

So, to end this long post, a few facts. E.L.F is CHEAP and they do a LOT of sales. If you are tentative, as I was, you can sign up and get emails about different sales, or wait for the really enormous sale to come along. They have improved their packaging recently and have copied brands like NARS and Bare Minerals, and it definitely makes the products more appealing. Give it a shot. I don't know if I'll buy more of this stuff, but I'm glad I did. I will write about my other 20 purchases in the coming days. Eye shadows, cream liners, shimmer palettes, pigments, and falsies, OH MY!

Celeste Holm passes away :(

Hello, my beautiful ones. Very sad news today, Oscar Award Winning actress, Celeste Holm, passed away at age 95. She died in her New York home after being hospitalized the week before. She is survived by her husband, two sons, and three grandchildren. Celeste Holm won an Oscar for her role in Gentleman's Agreement, but I will always remember her for her flawless performance as bff to the leading lady in All About Eve. 

Snow White and the Huntsman getting a sequel??

Hello, my gorgeous fans! Even though the critics weren't thrilled, Snow White and the Huntsman will be getting a sequel because of the box office success, BUT I LOVED CHARLIZE, just putting it out there. Supposedly the quality of the film was affected because they rushed to get it out by the summer because of the "competition" from the Julia Roberts Snow White movie...which was a dud. Hmmm...I still thought it was entertaining. It's a fun, fantasy movie, not serious subject matter!

Oz the Great and Powerful TRAILER!!!

OMG...OMG...OMG!!! At first I was just too bitter about my schedule conflicting with the shooting time of this film (I was up for all the female roles), but after seeing the trailer I could NOT BE MORE EXCITED!!! This looks AWESOME! And what is going on with that green arm at the end?!?! AHHHHH!!!

Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler leaving American Idol.

Hello, my beautiful, adoring fans! Recently, Steven Tyler announced he'd be leaving his judge post at American Idol, and just a day later, Jennifer Lopez announced she'd be leaving as well, leaving Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson alone on the show...hmmmm...I wonder if Randy will quit too...

Adele's baby due sooner than we all thought!

Hello, my gorgeous, fans who always roll in the deep. So, everyone has probably noticed that Adele has been out of the spotlight for the past few months. I just assumed she needed a break and wanted to enjoy her various victories, but then it turned out she was pregnant, AND NOW it's being reported that she is due a lot sooner than we thought. Adele is due in 2 MONTHS! So, the singer definitely knew she was pregnant at the Grammys. That is SO amazing! She will always remember that she was carrying her first daughter during such an amazing time in her life. Sending enormous love to Adele and good vibes for a healthy baby!

Andrea Arias-Martin: Pregnant with Baby #2!!

Hello, my gorgeous fans. A fellow diva of mine, Andrea Arias-Martin, a opera singing soprano who has sung at places like Chautauqua Opera, Glimmerglass Opera Festival, etc. I did a show with Andrea a while back, and let me just say, she has a gorgeous instrument. ALSO! She is married to a total hottie. They already have an adorable daughter, but now La Martin has another one on the way! Rumors were flying for a while that her husband and I were having an illicit affair, but I think this pregnancy proves that the HEAT IS ON in the Martin household!!! 

Kourtney gives birth and her name is...

Hello, my gorgeous, Kardashian loving fans. Just when I was thinking, "Oh my god, Kourtney is going to be pregnant FOREVER! I am SO tired of her maternity muumuus...well...no I'm not, I love those amazing, flowy things," Kourtney squeezed one out and now the world has a NEW Kardashian/Disick and her name is Penelope. Not Kenelope? Sad. Congrats Scott and Kourtney!!!
