Golden Globes: The Dresses!

Hello, my gorgeous fans! I hope everyone enjoyed the Golden Globes, I know I did. I thought Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were absolutely hilarious and underused, AND they looked gorgeous! None of the winners were big surprises to me, although I was sad that Jessica Lange didn't win for American Horror Story, but I hear Julianne Moore was terrific as Sarah Palin and I am definitely going to check out that movie. I was very happy that Jessica Chastain won for her performance in Zero Dark Thirty. She gave a fabulous, subtle performance and I loved the film. Anne Hathaway's win was no surprise, and I was happy for her since I loved her in the film, but I wanted to punch her in the face when she added to her acceptance speech when Les Miserables won for best musical/comedy picture...you had your time...go away. Also, Jodie Foster's speech was bizarre. A lot of people were saying it was inspiring, and I guess it was, but it also made me enormously uncomfortable.

ANYWAY! Onto the dresses. Here are some of my faves...

Kate Hudson looked AMAZING in her Alexander McQueen dress! LOVE IT!

Adele looked lovely in Burberry and her hair and makeup were fabulous as usual! Hope she sings her song live at the Oscars!

Jessica Alba looked gorgeous in her peach Oscar de la Renta dress. Great hair, makeup, jewelry, she looked gorgeous.

Naomi Watts wore a dramatic Zac Posen dress and I really liked it!

Anne Hathaway, as annoying as she is, looked lovely in her white Chanel dress.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in her Zuhair Muhad dress. I don't LOVE the dress, but her hair and makeup are stunning and she looks amazing.

I don't really like this Rachel Weisz's Louis Vuitton dress, but her hairy and makeup are just a dream and she's just a stunning lady.

I thought Nicole Kidman's Alexander McQueen dress was really chic and interesting looking. Not my FAVORITE, but she definitely pulled it off. 

Julianne Moore looked elegant in her Tom Ford dress. The back is a little weird, but she looked amazing.

Here are some dresses I didn't like....

Jessica Chastain was AMAZING in Zero Dark Thirty, but her look for the Golden Globes was lackluster. Her Calvin Klein dress was unflattering and her hairstyle aged her...it almost looked like she had a bald spot...and she's GORGEOUS! She got some bad advice on this look.

Thought Halle Berry's whole look was a miss. She's always gorgeous, just wasn't into it.

Lucy Liu's dress and hair and entire look was puzzling.

Hello, my beautiful, adoring fans! Recently, Steven Tyler announced he'd be leaving his judge post at American Idol, and just a day later, Jennifer Lopez announced she'd be leaving as well, leaving Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson alone on the show...hmmmm...I wonder if Randy will quit too...

Hello, my gorgeous ones! This is a weekend of reconciliation. First Demi and Ashton, and now Jenny from the Block and Marc Anthony. I mean, they're probably not getting back together, but it's nice to see them getting along! They are producers of a reality competition called ¡Q'Viva! The Chosen and they appeared at the finale show hand-in-hand and embracing. Nice that they can be civil to each other. Also, I love J.Lo's minidress. So cute! Great hair too!

J.Lo has crotch problems...

Hello, gorgeous ones! Lately, La Lopez has been making really great fashion decisions, but I was not feeling these harem pants...otherwise she looked gorgeous. I'm cool with a low crotch pair of paints on women, but these are just TOO low. Hmmm...what do you guys think?

Forbes Top 100 Celebrities

Hello, gorgeous fans. So, Forbes has released their list of the top 100 most powerful celebrities in the business for this year. Check out the full list here. What you have to remember about this though is that this is not about who actually earned the most this past year, it's about who has the most "power" in the industry, which I guess means investments, what jobs they have, etc. Jennifer Lopez is #1 on the list, and Oprah is #2, but she actually earned three times as much as J.Lo. The others in the top 5 were Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga.  At #6 is Britney, who I wouldn't be surprised to see move up on that list for next year with her new X-Factor gig! Oh, and at #7 is Kim Kardashian! Check out the full list.

Jennifer Lopez quits American Idol

Hello, gorgeous fans. So, after some hinting earlier in the week, J.Lo has quit American Idol. When she went on the Ellen show she hinted she might be leaving, but she made it official today. Honestly, she's probably got so much going on that she just doesn't have time to do a tv show and everything else that she's doing, like her concert tour with Enrique Iglesias. She will be missed, mostly for her outfits and amazing hair!

Jennifer Lopez at her new movie premiere!

Hello, gorgeous ones! So, JLO was promoting her new movie, What to Expect When You're Expecting, and showed up in this flowy dress by Maria Lucia Hohan. A lot of people have been writing about how they hate it so much and it's matronly, but I actually adore it! I think the color is subtle and pretty, I like the fabric, it is also a dress I would DEFINITELY wear. My real issue is with her makeup. Lining the inner rim of your eyes when you don't have enormous eyes to begin with is just a bad idea, or it should be when you're going for a very specific look. Also, it is SO something teenagers do when they're just learning how to do makeup. What do you think?
