Shirley is still the best!

So, I don't know if anything could have made me happier than Dame Shirley Bassey performing at the Oscars. Not only did she sound great, but she looked great and she's 76 YEARS OLD!!! UM....She's almost 80!!! I thought Adele and Barbra did a great job at the Oscars, but Shirley stole the show for me. I also LOVE how tickled she is by the standing ovation at the end. She is just a miracle. CONGRATS! THE DAME REIGNS!

Veronica's Best Dressed from the Oscars

Hello, my gorgeous, adoring fans! It's been a while, but I couldn't stop myself from posting about my favorite red carpet fashions. Well, here we go...

Jessica Chastain's hair, makeup, dress and accessories all make up for some not so great red carpet moments she's had this year. The Armani dress is just stunning. The color and the pattern, it's just amazing. Jessica may not have won the award tonight, but she wins my pick for best dressed of the evening.

Some others I loved...Halle Berry looked gorgeous in her stripey dress. She looks amazing. 

Nicole Kidman's dress was wild and crazy, but I kind of love it. 

I bet not everyone loved this...but I don't care. Jane Fonda looks terrific.

Naomi Watts looked like a futuristic goddess in her dress. Her hubby isn't looking so bad either.

Charlize did some gorgeous dancing at the Oscars, she also rocked out the red carpet. I thought this dress was pretty similar to the one that Anne Hathaway wore to the Globes, but actually think Charlize looks better....duh....

Um..CZJ looked incredible in her gold, sequins. She also did some great dancing and lip synching during the award show.

Jennifer Lawrence looked really, really lovely....I just feel like she dressed in preparation to win, which rubbed me the wrong way, but whatever.

Kerry Washington could wear a garbage bag and look gorgeous. I love her Prada dress, but I wish her hair had been different. She's always gorgeous though. 

Reese looked great. The blue is a little much for me, but the styling and overall look is gorgeous and classic. 

Some dresses I didn't like. I hated Anne Hathaway's dress. The back looked slutty and the front was weird to me. Also, the pointy nipples were weird. The necklace also threw me off a little. I think her hair and makeup looking lovely though. 

I normally love Adele's fashion choices, but I am over her not showing any skin at all. She is a gorgeous woman and could stand to wear something with a V-neck...or SOMETHING. Maybe some fabulous, colorful accent jewelry would have brightened this look up? I don't know. 

Didn't like this one either and her hair looked messy.

Golden Globes: The Dresses!

Hello, my gorgeous fans! I hope everyone enjoyed the Golden Globes, I know I did. I thought Tina Fey and Amy Poehler were absolutely hilarious and underused, AND they looked gorgeous! None of the winners were big surprises to me, although I was sad that Jessica Lange didn't win for American Horror Story, but I hear Julianne Moore was terrific as Sarah Palin and I am definitely going to check out that movie. I was very happy that Jessica Chastain won for her performance in Zero Dark Thirty. She gave a fabulous, subtle performance and I loved the film. Anne Hathaway's win was no surprise, and I was happy for her since I loved her in the film, but I wanted to punch her in the face when she added to her acceptance speech when Les Miserables won for best musical/comedy picture...you had your time...go away. Also, Jodie Foster's speech was bizarre. A lot of people were saying it was inspiring, and I guess it was, but it also made me enormously uncomfortable.

ANYWAY! Onto the dresses. Here are some of my faves...

Kate Hudson looked AMAZING in her Alexander McQueen dress! LOVE IT!

Adele looked lovely in Burberry and her hair and makeup were fabulous as usual! Hope she sings her song live at the Oscars!

Jessica Alba looked gorgeous in her peach Oscar de la Renta dress. Great hair, makeup, jewelry, she looked gorgeous.

Naomi Watts wore a dramatic Zac Posen dress and I really liked it!

Anne Hathaway, as annoying as she is, looked lovely in her white Chanel dress.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning in her Zuhair Muhad dress. I don't LOVE the dress, but her hair and makeup are stunning and she looks amazing.

I don't really like this Rachel Weisz's Louis Vuitton dress, but her hairy and makeup are just a dream and she's just a stunning lady.

I thought Nicole Kidman's Alexander McQueen dress was really chic and interesting looking. Not my FAVORITE, but she definitely pulled it off. 

Julianne Moore looked elegant in her Tom Ford dress. The back is a little weird, but she looked amazing.

Here are some dresses I didn't like....

Jessica Chastain was AMAZING in Zero Dark Thirty, but her look for the Golden Globes was lackluster. Her Calvin Klein dress was unflattering and her hairstyle aged her...it almost looked like she had a bald spot...and she's GORGEOUS! She got some bad advice on this look.

Thought Halle Berry's whole look was a miss. She's always gorgeous, just wasn't into it.

Lucy Liu's dress and hair and entire look was puzzling.

I'm just obsessed with Adele's pregnant look. I can't believe I missed this. Also I love her boyfriend carrying the dog. That is all. 

Adele gives birth to a healthy baby boy!

Adele has given birth to a healthy baby boy! So happy for her/jealous of her life! No news on what she and Konecki, her cub boyfriend, have named the bouncing bundle of joy, but I am eagerly awaiting the news of the name. Yay! Thank goodness things that can inspire writing keep happening to Adele. Word is she's already working on her 3rd album and I'm sure the joys of being a mother will be evident in her songs.

Hello, my gorgeous fans! While I am normally an Adele fan, I am enormously underwhelmed with this snippet of Adele's new Bond song, "Skyfall." Boring writing, boring singing. Too bad, what an enormous missed opportunity for an awesome song. I mean, what happened to Bond songs like "Goldfinger?!" "Diamonds are Forever?!" "Moonraker!?" "You Only Live Twice?!" "Thunderball!" Even the song Garbage sang was better this this...hmmm...maybe there's a cool bridge? I can only hope. After listening to this, check out a good Bond song bellow it...

Adele rumored to be doing plus-size line with Burberry!

Very cool! Adele is rumored to be collaborating with Burberry to create a plus-size line for women. How awesome would that be? Considering that she always looks amazing and rocks her body at any size, I'm SURE if this is actually true, the clothes will be stunning. Even though I normally wear a petite, I'd love to get some of the stuff and have it taken in....heehee. 

Adele out in London looking preggers!

Awww!!! So cute! Adele is definitely looking pregnant now! She was spotted with her boyfriend out and about in London. I cannot wait for the baby pictures. Also, it seems like these two really get along, they seem to spend a lot of time together...I wonder if there are wedding plans in the works...

Adele has stolen my life once again...

Hello, my adoring fans. Sometimes I feel that Adele has stolen my life. All I want is to wear that muumuu top, black leggings and flats with a messy up do and walk around with my bear cub boyfriend. I mean, isn't that what ALL women/I want!?

Fall Nail Trends! OooooOh!

Hello, my gorgeous fans who all have the best cuticles ever. I have rocking out some pale, minty green nails and some lovely nude colors all summer, but now it's time for fall and we must style our nails accordingly. Luckily, I'm very into this seasons trendiest nail looks. Here are a few...

One look is dark, midnight blue nails. I've never been into getting bright blue nails, but black nails are fab, so this is just a shade up. A good one is OPI, Russian Navy.

Another color that's very in for fall is burgundy, which is normally a great fall color. One that I swatched at the store and thought was very nice was Essie, Poor Little Rich Girl. It's a gorgeous, deep burgundy and you can't go wrong with this brand. Another one that is a more purplely rendition of this look is OPI's Romeo and Joliet. I really liked this color as well. 

Black nails are always cool, but this fall there are a lot of twists you can try on your sleek looking black nails. One that is pretty cool is using a mattifying product like Essie's Mate about you, and creating a completely different texture for your black nails. The picture I posted is someone who is SOO cool and used the matte product and then created an awesome black french by keeping the tips shiny. SO cool, I definitely will be trying this.

Pale nude colors are also in for this Fall. One that I just bought is Did you 'ear about Van Gogh? It's a grayish nude color that I really like. I tried another one before it that I thought would be similar, but it ended up looking like pink putty on my nails...ew. This is much better.

I kind of already mentioned this one, but another Fall trend is a "French Twist." Trying something different with the typical french manicure look. I jumped the ball a little and had a red french manicure for Bombshell Baby, and I also had a black french for fun the other week, so now that this is a trendy, seasonal look, I will be doing a LOT more of it! ALSO! Look! Lana Del Rey and Adele do it!

My current nail obsession

Hello, my gorgeous, amazing fans. So, I am obsessed with Adele and Lana Del Rey, despite their very different levels of talent. I love Lana's look, and enjoy her dark, weird, oddly haunting songs. Adele is just the best in every way as well, but is clearly the superior artist, BUT BOTH ALWAYS HAVE AMAZING nails! In Lana's "Born to Die" video she has a killer manicure with red v shaped tips, and a gold stripe on the v...obsessed. Adele always has amazing nails too. A highlight for me when it comes to Adele's nails was at the Grammy's when her nails matched her Louboutin pumps, but I also love the look she does where she'll have a nude color and then black tips...obsessed. Today I tried out doing one of Lana's nail looks, without the gold stripe, and I'm obsessed with it. I made the mistake of letting the woman doing them put the red on top of two coats of the nude and it's ALREADY chipping, but after doing some research, I found that if you use tape to make the v-shape you can then apply the nude color and then take the tape off and have the perfect V to fill in with the red color you so choose. Still on the hunt for a good gold to complete this look. Obsessed... for my nails I used the Christian Dior Safari Beige and OPI Little Red Wagon. 

Adele's baby due sooner than we all thought!

Hello, my gorgeous, fans who always roll in the deep. So, everyone has probably noticed that Adele has been out of the spotlight for the past few months. I just assumed she needed a break and wanted to enjoy her various victories, but then it turned out she was pregnant, AND NOW it's being reported that she is due a lot sooner than we thought. Adele is due in 2 MONTHS! So, the singer definitely knew she was pregnant at the Grammys. That is SO amazing! She will always remember that she was carrying her first daughter during such an amazing time in her life. Sending enormous love to Adele and good vibes for a healthy baby!

Hello, my gorgeous, Adele loving fans. First of all, is Selena Gomez a troll? I saw this picture of her with Adele and instead of thinking Adele must be a monster (since she is clearly just a GLAMAZON) I came to the conclusion that Selena Gomez is a short, troll. Anyway, if you haven't heard the news...Adele is PREGNANT, and the father is her cute bear boyfriend Simon Konecki. Even though I'm insanely jealous, I am also enormously happy for the singer. She is just the best and deserves all the happiness in the world. CONGRATS ADELE!

Adele Vogue Issue sells horribly!

Hello, gorgeous ones. Adele is one of the most popular people in the world right now, she is the IT girl. Her album, 21, continues to sell and break records (9 million this week), but for some reason, the singer's Vogue cover is one of the worst selling issues of all time. Editor, Alexandra Shulman, admitted that she was surprised, but that in the past, recording artists have never done that well. I also wonder if the photos were so widely seen by everyone online, on blogs, etc, that buying the actual issue was just unnecessary. Obviously this isn't putting a damper on Adele's fabulous year, but it's a little odd.
