Jessica Simpson's parents get divorced...the gay, gay truth!

Ugh, this sounds MESSY. So, Jessica Simpson's parents, Joe and Tina, are getting a divorce and the reason is some twinky little guy named Bryce. According to "sources," Joe and Tina had been having marital trouble for a while and went on a last chance to save the marriage trip to Hawaii. When they returned to Los Angeles, Joe got on a plane to New York. Tina found this suspicious, especially because she had found a few pictures of Bryce Chandler Hill around her home...ew...and THEN one of Jessica's close friends told her that Joe was having an affair with this kid. Tina got on a plane to New York to ambush Joe. When she got there they had a big fight and the truth came out. On top of all that, it's being reported that Tina was looking at their finances and Joe Simpson has spent a TON of money on presents, concert tickets, gifts and fancy hotel rooms for this guy...ew. 

So...now the couple has headed toward a messy divorce and Joe's personal life is now out in the open. The sad part is that people are saying that Joe is madly in love with this Bryce guy, but Bryce supposedly thinks Joe is a total joke and is using him to get famous...big surprise. P.S...how is this kid a model!??!?! He is SO GROSS! Joe! You could have done SO much better. I mean, there are plenty of little, androgynous boys that would have wanted to use you for your money that are WAY more attractive. Oy!

Veronica's Halloween Bash Cancelled

Veronica's Halloween Bash has been cancelled due to the damage from Hurricane Sandy and the MTA  is a mess, so we're very sad to say it's just not going to happen. I'm SO sad we won't be able to present this show to you, it was going to be really fun. I hope we can do a show in the near future! THANKS ALL!

Face of building in Chelsea falls off!

Oh my god! This storm is NO JOKE! A four story building on 8th ave at 14th street's facade simply collapsed due to the storm. No one was injured, but there were people in the building at the time. This is unbelievable! I wonder if the building's facade had been worked on in years?! I smell a lawsuit, or at least I hope the management puts the poor people affected by this up in a hotel. Sending good vibes to everyone. Bellow is what the building normally looks like.

Swaying Crane in Midtown Manhattan

Ugh. This Hurricane is no joke. People are losing power, water is rising, the winds sound scary outside, and also there's a massive crane over 57th street which was being used to work on One57 a new apartment building in midtown. The crane has been swaying dangerously and buildings in the vicinity are being evacuated. The real danger is that the winds are so strong that if the bottom piece of the crane disconnects and falls, the wind could blow it in any direction so there's no knowing which way it could fall. I am crossing fingers and toes that it just STAYS put! Sending good vibes to everyone in that area.

Anderson Cooper Talk Show Cancelled :(

My favorite silver fox and yours, Anderson Cooper, got some bad news recently. His daytime talk show has been cancelled and will not be renewed for a 3rd season. This is too bad, but I am sure Anderson will not have any problem finding other work. He can work for me ANY time :)!

Rhea Perlman and Kirstie Alley reunite in pilot for new sitcom!

Hello, my gorgeous fans! So, TVLand seems to be going with what once worked. I mean Hot in Cleveland features stars of some of the best sitcoms of the past 20-30 years and Fran Drescher's new show seems to be doing okay, so now a new show is in the works for Cheers stars Kirstie Alley and Rhea Pearlman. It's called Giant Baby, and it's basically if Margo Channing's long lost son came home and Thelma Ritter was around to help out. Basically, Kirstie Alley stole my pilot. 

Kim and Kanye engaged?!?!

Kim was spotted out and about wearing an enormous diamond PINKY ring?! People have been wondering if Kim was engaged, but I DON'T think she'd be wearing an engagement ring on her pinky. I have a feeling this is an extremely fantastical gift from her boyfriend, Kanye. Kris Jenner also spoke out saying the pair are not engaged. Also, as amazing as this ring is (even if I don't love it as a pinky ring) I have a feeling when Kanye does get Kim an engagement ring, it will at LEAST be bigger than her first ring...and this is not.

Adele gives birth to a healthy baby boy!

Adele has given birth to a healthy baby boy! So happy for her/jealous of her life! No news on what she and Konecki, her cub boyfriend, have named the bouncing bundle of joy, but I am eagerly awaiting the news of the name. Yay! Thank goodness things that can inspire writing keep happening to Adele. Word is she's already working on her 3rd album and I'm sure the joys of being a mother will be evident in her songs.

So, rumors have been flying for weeks that these two would get back together, but now it seems to actually be true. They were first caught on camera hanging out in LA, and THEN they were spotted at a friend's birthday party and Chateau Marmont celebrating. Supposedly they were all over each other and not trying to hid it from anyone. Well...Rob...what are you thinking???? She is clearly going to do it again...

Real Housewives Reunions!

Hello, my gorgeous fans. So, for the past 2 weeks, we have been given the gift of Real Houswives reunions from New York and New Jersey. The New York wives just had the first part of their reunion air on Monday, part two airs next week. The New Jersey wives have a THREE-PART reunion!!! You know why...because they are nuts, well, mostly Teresa. 

Teresa proved herself to be a nightmare. A total and complete, selfish, delusional nightmare. In her mind, she can do no wrong and she is just the star and the other girls are along for the ride. The big "To dos" in the first two parts are of course about Teresa telling everyone that Melissa was a stripper at the Posche Fashion Show (whatever that is). There was also a segment about Jacqueline's autistic son, which was SOOOOOO sad, and of course Teresa had to open her big, ignorant mouth and make it somehow about her. I can't believe her. Thank god Caroline, who I think looked really great, got Teresa to shut up by saying, "Listen, you and your f--king Christmas pageant dress, sit back and shut the f--k up, we're talking about this kid." Well said, Caroline...well said.

The most awkward of all was when Joe Giudice made an appearance. The whole room was silent and the women were trying to best to keep their mouths shut. Teresa and Joe grabbed each other's hands in a forced attempt at PDA.  Teresa made the big mistake of confusing Jacqueline's first husband and current husband cheating on her which made Jacqueline freak out and reveal that Joe was caught cheating with a secretary...yikes...next week Teresa and her brother, Joe, finally meet face to face and it looks like things get CRAZIER than ever...looking forward to it.

The New York Housewives were a little more restrained and a lot less delusional...besides Ramona. I mean, what would these shows be without at least ONE completely delusional woman...I guess New York has two because Sonja is pretty nightmarish as well, but they at least listen and discuss. Ramona is a tyrant though. I completely believe that she wanted to blackmail the countess about an incident with her daughter. She is a nasty lady. I genuinely felt bad for Sonja this season. She is just a walking time bomb. Also, her ex needs to settle with her, it's ridiculous. These men are SO rich! If not for your ex-wife, for your child, get it together and cough up the cash.

Anyway, the reunion made me change my opinion of a few of the wives. Aviva is just the worst, but she did attempt to calm down and apologize for being a crazy bitch in St. Barts. I like Carole during the season, but I found her SO unappealing at the reunion. She thinks she is SO above all of these women because of her pedigree and her profession, but...she DID sign on for this show, probably making it seem like she was doing it for research for her next book. She was nasty to Countess about the dress thing. Sure, Countess was probably trying to be a social climber, but the way Carole spoke to her was ruuuude and awkward. I don't blame Countess for being hurt.

Ramona is just the worst. Her dress was one of the most hideous things I've ever seen, she just thinks she is Queen Bee and doesn't owe anybody anything. Sonja actually looked AMAZING, loving the dress and hair. Countess looked understated and lovely as usual. Carole has the most wonderful clothes...but her face...yikes. I go back and fourth with Heather. Sometimes she seems like she could be a real girlfriend and others she's a little funny. She's definitely the least evil of these women though. Aviva's dress was weird...anyway, I am looking forward to the conclusions of both these reunions!!! Also, Andy Cohen is hot. 

VERONICA'S HALLOWEEN BASH!

Hello ghouls and goblins! I'll be throwing a Halloween Bash with some of my friends on October 29th at Medicine Show Theater at 549 West 52nd street. It's a party with open bar and then tow 15-20 minute performances leading up to our grand finale: Buffy's Once More with Feeling. I will be playing the roles of Buffy, Margaret White in Carrie and...a my role in Nightmare Before Christmas will just be a surprise. Tickets are $25 and include the all you can drink bar with speciality drinks. COME ONE, COME ALL!!!

Pitch Perfect: Movie Review

Hello, my gorgeous, adoring fans! This past week I saw a few movies...some were good...some were not. I won't even get into the not so good ones...::cough::. The Master .::cough::. because while it is probably an important film with great performances, it is not an entertaining one. Anyway, Pitch Perfect is about as perfect as a fun, young, comedy can be. For the first couple minutes of the movie, there was some bad, awkward writing for Anna Kendrick's character, Becca, but because Kendrick is so likable and talented, it was okay and the movie quickly picked up from there. 

The premise is that a school's a girl acappella group bombed at the acappella championships the year before and were beat by the all boy group from the same school. Anna Camp who is the leader of the group got nervous and projectile vomited all over the stage and is left with her friend Chloe, played hilariously by Brittany Snow, to pick up the pieces and form a mostly new group and make it to finals. The girls manage to get a group together and thus a story of friendship, belting, music and acappella ensues. 

The cast is really great. The standout, of course, is Rebel Wilson as "Fat Amy." Pretty much everything she does is golden. The director seemed to let her ad-lib a ton and the things she does are just so funny. Everyone was very into her. Skylar Astin is also very likable as Anna Kendrick's love interest and sings amazingly...no surprise, he's a seasoned Broadway veteran...well...I guess that doesn't always mean you can sing these days, but he's good. Speaking of Anna Kendrick, she is really wonderful in the movie and sings very well. Interestingly enough, all the men were stronger singers than the women, but they all knock it out of the park. Elizabeth Banks was also very funny as the competition announcer. 

If you love musicals, singing, acappella, jokes about nodes, etc, RUN don't walk to this movie. Totally entertaining and made me feel like I was in high school again...in the good way. 

Adele's Bond song "Skyfall" leaked

Hello, my gorgeous fans! While I am normally an Adele fan, I am enormously underwhelmed with this snippet of Adele's new Bond song, "Skyfall." Boring writing, boring singing. Too bad, what an enormous missed opportunity for an awesome song. I mean, what happened to Bond songs like "Goldfinger?!" "Diamonds are Forever?!" "Moonraker!?" "You Only Live Twice?!" "Thunderball!" Even the song Garbage sang was better this this...hmmm...maybe there's a cool bridge? I can only hope. After listening to this, check out a good Bond song bellow it...

Nicki Minaj curses out Mariah Carey during Idol

Um...this looks RIDICULOUS! I have been sitting here trying to understand what La Minaj is going on about, but the sound is unclear. Basically it looks like Nicki is being a total brat and Mariah is trying to diffuse the situation and get her to shut up. I mean, I am SURE Mariah is a total nightmare, but I am sure she wouldn't go off on the rest of the judges like that. CRAZY!
