Britney looking GLAM

Hello, my Britney-loving fans! I had been saying for months that the best part of Britney possibly, and then definitely being part of X-Factor is that she'd be all glammed up for the show. Britney is HOT, but the one thing she's always lacked is amazing styling. I just KNEW that if she was on a reality show they would give her a great stylist and wonderful hair and makeup people to make her look great, and they really are doing a wonderful job. Britney looks AMAZING in this red bandage dress. Gorgeous.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes divorcing

Hello, my gorgeous, celebrity hungry fans. So, I was so distracted by my busy schedule and news of Adele's pregnancy that I almost completely missed that TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES and getting DIVORCED! I'm...stunned...just...stunned. The couple has been married for six years...but seems to spend most of their time apart. Tom is off with his gay lover...I mean, filming movies, and Katie seems to be entirely focused on raising Suri...which is fine, just weird since Katie and Tom haven't been spotted together much recently, thus the divorce. The couple supposedly has a prenup, so hopefully it won't be too messy, but more hopefully we can only hope that Katie Holmes will out Cruise, but you can't have it all. Katie Holmes is supposedly going to try and get soul custody...yikes.

Adele is PREGNANT!

Hello, my gorgeous, Adele loving fans. First of all, is Selena Gomez a troll? I saw this picture of her with Adele and instead of thinking Adele must be a monster (since she is clearly just a GLAMAZON) I came to the conclusion that Selena Gomez is a short, troll. Anyway, if you haven't heard the news...Adele is PREGNANT, and the father is her cute bear boyfriend Simon Konecki. Even though I'm insanely jealous, I am also enormously happy for the singer. She is just the best and deserves all the happiness in the world. CONGRATS ADELE!

Various NARS products: review

Hello, my gorgeous, makeup applying fans. I don't know why, but I have a SERIOUS weakness for NARS. I don't know what it is. To be honest, it is nowhere close to my favorite brand, I am often disappointed by their eye shadows and it's overpriced...but I can't stop stocking up on NARS! I don't know if it's the sleep packaging?! Or maybe it's the names they choose...there's a blushes called "Deep Throat," "Orgasm," "Striptease," etc...do these names just make me feel so dirty in the best possible way? I don't know, but I have so much NARS in my makeup case.

I wrote a post a while back about how I'm often disappointed with their eye shadows. I find them chalky or impossible to work with. Their glitter eye shadows make no sense...they're like hard...and look like frozen ice cone...anyway...I DO like their lip and face products though. One of my favorites is a highlighter they sell called "Albatross." It's a pale white/yellow that I just find really flattering. It glows in the pan and on your face. I also got the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation which I haven't tried yet, but will review once I do.

I also got a BUNCH of different lip products. I am very into a nude lip and went a little nuts buying some nude lip products. I got 2 lipsticks. One is called "Promiscuous," which is just a sheer, shimmery, beige color. I would have preferred for it to be more pigmented, it's TOO sheer. Too bad because it looked promising in the store. "Honolulu Honey" is a similar color, but a matte finish and I actually really like this one. It has enough pigment, it's subtle and looks even better with the "Spring Break" gloss I got over it. I LOVE this gloss. It is PERFECT. I don't love gloss with big glitter particles in it. I prefer a slight shimmer and this is perfect because it's beige with a gold shimmer in it. LOVE! Highly recommend this product. This is part of their new "Larger Than Life" gloss line. It's just gorgeous. I also got the "Albatross" gloss, which I LOOOOVE as well! It's the same pale white/yellow color as the highlighter. I just love it, it might not be for everyone though.

I also got two of these "Velvet Matte Lip Pencils," one in "Belle de Jour," a nude and "Cruella," which is red. I don't know if I'm all about these jumbo lip pencils. I reviewed a NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil that I really liked (for a 4th of the price) that was very pigmented and blended well. Even though I love the color, the shimmery nude one just wasn't enough for me. The red one is fine too...I don't know, I wasn't thrilled with these at all, was mostly just curious.

Makeup Review: Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick

Hello, my gorgeous, bronzed beauties. It's summer, so I'm always wanting to get my bronze on! I went for this Bobbi Brown shimmer brick because it gets great reviews and has multiple uses. You can swipe your makeup brush through all the colors and get a shimmery bronze color, or you can use these colors separately as eye shadow. I normally don't go for Bobbi Brown because it just seems slightly more expensive than other brands I like more, but everyone talks about these.

I am sorry to say that I didn't find this that shimmery! I applied a LOT and I mostly got a browny, matte look...WEIRD! I even tried swiping my brush mostly on the lightest color to see if that would help...but no...the colors are actually lovely as eye shadow, but I was disappointed in the amount of color and shimmer. Maybe people like this because it's a more subtle shimmer and has a more natural finish? I don't know...if you call something a SHIMMER BRICK it should be REALLY SHIMMERY! Also, it's $40...at least this investment will last a while since I won't be using it much.

Makeup Review: Watt's Up!

Hello, my gorgeous, glowing fans! I've made some really great purchases since I've returned to America, and I'm so excited to review this product. Watt's Up! is a highlighter/luminizer by Benefit. I had tried many of Benefits various highlighters before (High Beam, Girl Meets Pearl, Moon Beam, etc), and I was turned off by them because they come in a thin, note easily blend able liquid form. This is a creamy stick that applies super easy and is easily blended.

After playing around with it, I quickly learned that the smudger on the other end is useless and will wipe off not only the Watt's Up, but your foundation as well. I applied it on the top of my cheek bone, over foundation, and then blended it with my stippling brush for a beautiful glowy finish. The one downside of this product is that it's on the pricey side, $30. If you have REALLY oily skin, be sure to powder this a lot so it sets.

Veronica and Zach at the Duplex!

Hello, gorgeous, adoring fans! The other night, Zach and I performed at The Duplex in the Village with Brian Lowdermilk as our music director. It was such a wonderful experience! We had a great crowd, fabulous staff at the Duplex, and a wonderful mix of music to sing. I had been feeling under the weather all week, but I pushed through, for better or worse. PLEASE check out videos from the performance! You WON'T regret it!

Lindsay as Liz!

Hello my gorgeous, adoring fans. Shooting is now underway for Liz and Dick, and THANKFULLY, we have some stills of Lindsay all dressed up as La Taylor. I have to say, she looks pretty fab in this picture, clearly there's been some photoshopping, but she looks wonderful...I'm still crossing my fingers that there are some scenes from Cleopatra so we can see Lohan in some of that Egyptian garb....

Happy Birthday Judy Garland!

Hello, my beautiful, Judy-Loving fans! Today, Judy Garland would have been 90 years old, and how remarkable that today is also the day of the Tony Awards. Judy is and always will be an icon. From her first major splash in The Wizard of Oz, to her movies with Mickey Rooney, to her starring roles in The Clock, Meet Me in St. Louis, A Star is Born, etc, Judy thrills us with full throated glory, vulnerable acting and her oh-so-immitatable mannerisms. Judy's life was full of ups and downs, and we remember her for both, but we mostly remember her for her unquestionable talent. I'm celebrating by drinking some tea and watching the Judy Garland marathon on Turner Classic Movies. Oh, and here is one of my favorite Judy Performances.

Madonna flashes Istanbul!

Hello, my beautiful, adoring, tit-loving fans! Madonna, who is currently doing her MDNA tour, was performing in Istanbul when the music just took over her soul and she decided it was necessary to show us a brief glimpse of her bony, small boob. Hmmmm....it's only a brief glimpse, but I guess we should be thankful for small favors?

A BIG artistic day!

Hello, my beautiful, fantastic fans! I am still not COMPLETELY back to full-time blogging, but I wanted to give you some updates. Today was a big day in the life of Veronica Garland. First, we had our first couple auditions for Bombshell Baby! It was so wonderful to finally get started, and the first auditions were fantastic. ALSO, directly following the auditions, I had an intense rehearsal with Zachary Altman, and the one and only Brian Lowdermilk, of Kerrigan-Lowdermilk. Brian is music directing our cabaret and is pretty much the best. Besides writing fabulous songs, he is so great in shows and really knows how to support singers. Check out his website! I'll be singing one of his songs in the show!

Speaking of that show, for those of you who don't know about it, my longtime collaborator, Zachary Altman and I are putting on a cabaret at The Duplex! The show will be on June 17th at 6:30 pm! We've got a really fun, mixed show for all of you. Would be wonderful to see you there! Sending kisses to you all!

Hello, my gorgeous fans! I recently made a big trip back from Europe to my home in New York City. I have SO many things figure out now that I'm back, so I will be taking a BRIEF hiatus from blogging.
