Supposedly Target stores were playing this and people would go around with their video cameras and record. You can actually hear an employee say "I'm reporting you," in the background, ha! Dark Shadows! I'm excited!

Hello, gorgeous ones. I just became aware of a new Tim Burton movie called Dark Shadows coming out in May! It is based on 1966-1971 gothic soap opera of the same name and it stars Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Helena Bonham Carter, etc. The premise is so cool! It starts in 1752 and Jonnny Depp's character makes an evil witch (Eva Green) jealous, so she turns him into a vampire and buries him alive. He wakes up in the 70s, and mayhem ensues. I was originally approached to play the Michelle Pfeiffer role when this movie was being called Darker Shadows, so I was confused. Anyway, I am so excited about this movie. It mixes so many things I love: vampires, fantasy, big hair, Michelle Pfeifer, dark comedy, etc. Check out the trailer!

We were excited to hear that Megan Hilty will be starring in a City Center Encores production of Gentleman Prefer Blondes also starring the gorgeous Rachel York, and Aaron Lazar! Khloe and Lamar canceling show?!

Hello, gorgeous ones. Rumors have been flying that Khloe and Lamar might be cancelled, due to Lamar's struggle in their new home. Supposedly he only wants to concentrate on basketball and not do television. When this news hit, reps of Khloe and Lamar said that the show was not cancelled...hmmm...maybe they're still in talks? Kris Jenner is supposedly trying to get them to stay on... If you ask me, Khloe should be really careful. If her man is feeling like he's not bring anything to the table...well...we know what men stereotypically do when that happens, and cheating on Khloe is not something I bet anyone could survive...can you imagine!?! Hopefully Khloe will wise up, realize that appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians will pay her enough, and let her man figure things out. .::crosses fingers::.

NYX Haul: Makeup Review

Hello, gorgeous fans! So, I got VERY excited today because a cosmetics store that just opened by my house carries NYX! For those of you who don't know, NYX is a relatively new brand that is the token brand of RuPaul's Drag Race. It is a low priced brand that has some fabulous stuff. I recently reviewed the Jumbo Pencils, and today I got some other stuff.

I'll start with the eye shadow palettes I got. I purchased one Triple Eye Shadow set with Nude, Taupe and Dark Brown (TS03). The nude color is really wonderful, and is found in many of their more neutral palettes, which is nice because it's a color I personally like to use a lot. It is mostly matte, but has a slight shimmer. The Taupe has a slight shimmer to it, which I like. It looks really beautiful when blended with the Dark Brown in the set, which is matte. Good Triple Eye Shadow set ($7, good deal!). The only thing I don't like is the cheapo applicator that comes with it. It ruins the presentation, which is nice.


I bought two more neutral eye shadow palettes, because I was running out of all my neutral colors, oddly enough. NYX has this "Caribbean Collection" right now, which is 5 eye shadows for $9. GOOD deal, especially because they're good shadows. The first one is "I Dream of St. Kitt"(ESP5C03), which is a more silvery neutral palette. It has that nude color in it that I like so much, a more orange-brown color, a brown with silver glitter in it, a matte white and a silvery dark brown. The nude color, is again, great. The organgy brown color isn't my thing, but is totally usable. I love, love, love this brown with the tiny silver shimmers in it. It's so pretty. The matte white is a good matte white, and the silvery, matte brown is wonderful too. Again, don't like the cheap applicator that comes with it, great palette though.

The last palette I bought (also $9) is the I Dream of St. Marteen (ESP5C02). This one has more godly colors in it. I know it might seem silly that I got both of those SORT of similar palettes, but I like the subtle difference in undertones. Anyway, this has a warm, dark brown, a gorgeous goldy taupe color, and light, shimmery brown, that nude, which I love and am happy to have more of, and then a really great, bronzy color. Again, this palette is great, I think all the colors are very usable and can easily blended together etc.

Last, but not lease, I bought a jumbo lip pencil, in almond. I've been intrigued by the idea of a creamy, jumbo lip pencil and have seen other brands do them, but was hesitant to spend $20 on one. These are $4.50 and they work really well with a catch. Do NOT apply them using them like a pencil. I did that and it applied terribly and I was like, "Huh?!?!" So I took it off and reapplied with a lip brush and it looked lovely. This color actually goes on SO neutral and not orange at all, which is exactly what I wanted, especially for summer. Anyway, NYX is great, and half, if not a third of the price of other brands, so check it out!!

Carrie Manolakos Sings in Concert of Adele songs

Hello, gorgeous ones! I WISH I could be in town for this. Fabulous beltress, Carrie Manolakos, is taking part in a concert of Adele songs at Le Poisson Rouge tonight in NYC with other amazing singers like Matt Doyle. I REALLY hope this concert ends up on youtube...I wonder what Carrie will sing? Hmmm...maybe "Set Fire to the Rain," up a third? Check out the info here.

Hello, my gorgeous fans. Well...if I didn't think Perez was a gross, awful human being before, then I definitely do now (although I sill check the blog for fun stories). Everyone had been speculating that Perez got major surgery to look the way he's been looking lately, which I actually don't think is true, but whatever. He's been working at it for years. ANYWAY, I do think he's gotten TOO skinny and looks gross (it probably doesn't help that his personality matches his gross bod) and  he totally thinks he's hot now. There's nothing worse than a former fatty thinking that being thin makes them better than everyone else. Also...maybe you should stuff your speedo next time? ALSO!!! WHY is his mother in this video?!?!?! 

Enormous Continent Sized Garbage Island in Pacific

Hello, gorgeous public! I was shocked to read this. There are two masses of garbage waste floating in the Pacific Ocean that are almost twice the size of the United States...that is INSANE! Charles Moore, an American oceanographer who discovered the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" says that about 100 million tons of "flotsam" are circulating in the region. Marcus Eriksen, a research director of the US-based Algalita Marine Research Foundation, said yesterday: "The original idea that people had was that it was an island of plastic garbage that you could almost walk on. It is not quite like that. It is almost like a plastic soup. It is endless for an area that is maybe twice the size as continental United States." This...is so gross. How did this even happen?! Mr. Moore, who used to be in oil, sold his family fortune and decided to be an environmentalist. He recently warned bug businesses that if they didn't change their ways, the garbage mass could DOUBLE in size over the next decade! NUTS! Why can't we launch this stuff into space?!

Kim Kardashian wants a sitcom...

Hello, my gorgeous fans. Well...okay...this is going to be entertaining no matter how it goes. Kim wants her own sitcom. She wants to do something separate from her family and she wants to act. I guess she had fun doing the acting stints she's been doing (30 Rock, Tyler Perry, etc). Well...I really can't wait to see if anything comes of this. Who knows, she could be the next Roseanne...but...thin...and gorgeous....and rich....hmmmm.

Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson had an affair!?

Hello, gorgeous ones! Well, it was bound to happen. Now that the beltress of our time is gone, some juicy stories are coming out of the woodworks. Michael Jackson's bodyguard opened up a fling he had with Whitney Houston at his Neverland ranch. I like opera...sometimes...but I always like Leyla Gencer

Hello, gorgeous fans. So, as some of you might know, I began my career as a diva of the operatic stage. Because of some various...um...issues I was having, I had to put my opera career on hold. Of course I found my way onto the silver screen and then to the Broadway Stage, but I still attended the opera (when forced) and fell in love with many artists. One artist who I want to talk about is Leyla Gencer. La Gencer was the daughter of a wealthy business man in Istanbul. Her father died at a young age, and she decided to become a singer. She studied at the conservatory, but dropped out (like me!) and studied privately with her teacher. She sang with the opera chorus of the Turkish State Theater, until she was discovered and made her debut there as Santuzza.

She went on to be one of the most exciting singers in opera in the 50s, 60s and 70s. She is not as famous as others like Callas, Sutherland, and she would often say she feels she would have been more famous if Callas hadn't been around, but she had her own strengths. One reason I love Leyla Gencer SO much is because in the same evening, she can scream, chest, throw her voice around in reckless ways, and then sing the most gorgeous pianissimo phrases you've ever heard. Many people say that her voice was too small for a lot of the rep she sang, but she obviously made the decision to sing things that matched her temperament, and she always satisfies me! White House Correspondent's Dinner dresses

Hello, gorgeous ones. I was just eying some of the dresses that were seen at the Correspondent's Dinner last night and I was mostly disappointed. I think everyone, in an effort to look tasteful, just looked bad. Lindsay Lohan actually looked fine from the neck up, but her matronly dress just didn't look great. The bodice looked like something out of a school play. I actually like the back of the dress, but the front is a nightmare. Also, I'd LOVE Kim's dress if it weren't some tacky velvet fabric. WHAT is that about? This dress could have been so elegant if it had been chiffon and flowy or something, or just satin, anything besides this velvet. I really do like the dress though. I LOVE Resse Witherspoon's hair and earrings, but the weird sling thing going on at the top isn't doing it for me. I was also NOT into anything about Charlize Theron's look at all. The patter on the dress is interesting, but with no jewelry accent and the blah hair, it just was not the best look for the GORGEOUS actress. I actually DID like Kate Hudson's purple, sequin number (even if it's a little tacky...I like it), but didn't love her hair...hmm...weird night for dresses...

Who told Gabourey Sidibe to quit acting?

Hello, gorgeous fans. On TV Show, Watch What Happens Live, Gabourey was questioned by host, Andy Cohen, what celebrity had disappointed her the most when she met them. Her response was this: "What celebrity was I disappointed by? Oh, and it's not in a mean way, because I know that she meant well. I met Joan Cusack, who is my favorite favorite -- I love her -- but, it was before I became [famous] or whatever. I was at some industry party, and she says, 'Are you an actress?' And I said, 'Yeah!' And she says, 'Oh honey, you should really quit the business, it's so image-conscious.'" Yikes...Gabourey went on to say that she truly thinks Joan was being kind, but it sounds majorly bitchy to me. I think as long as Gabourey is happy, healthy and working, it's all good.

Animal Hoarder found dead...eaten by dogs.

Cute article about movie couples staying together.

Hello, gorgeous ones. I just thought this article was cute. Writer, Jane L. Rosen does a piece on relationships, divorce, etc and makes her predictions on what movie couples she thinks will "make it." For the most part, I completely agree. My favorites are Danny and Sandy (Grease) being divorced, but rendezvousing one time a year to relive their "summer lovin!" I also completely agree with Rhett and Scarlett, if Margaret Mitchell had written the sequel (she died before she got the chance, and there IS a sequel, but it's...iffy), but I think hose two were MEANT for each other, and unless Rhett died in some horrible accident, he and Scarlett would have been bickering for eternity. I also like her prediction that Harry and Sally from When Harry Met Sally, would be together forever too. What a cute thought, Meg Ryan (without surgery) and Billy Crystal strolling around Central Park in their 80s. Adorable. Check it out.

Broadway's new Annie is....

Hello, gorgeous ones! It was just announced that 11 year old, Lilla Crawford will star in the new revival of Annie! Lilla is no stranger to the Great White Way. She was in the closing cast of Billy Elliot, and attends a school for dramatic arts in Los Angeles! Here is a video of Lilla singing when she was 7 or 8. Hello, gorgeous ones! I can't even believe this. "Octo-Mom" was bad enough, but now we have "Nono-Mom" ready to pump out some babies...NINE of them to be exact. Karla Vanessa Perez is getting ready to give both to six girls and three boys in early May. Wow...I hope this woman asks for drugs. Supposedly there have been two sets of nonuplets born in the past hundred years, and none of the babies lived past a few days. I sincerely hope that doesn't happen to this woman. Isn't there a way to control fertility treatments so this doesn't happen?! It's just nuts!

Gwyneth Paltrow may star in Finding Neverland Musical

Hello, gorgeous ones. Gwyneth Paltrow is supposedly in talks to do a musical version of Finding Neverland  in London's West End. The music and lyrics will be by the same team that created Grey Gardens, Scott Frankel and Michael Korie. Gwyneth would be playing the Kate Winslet role. Hmmm....the idea sounds great, but does Gwyneth have the chops to do a musical 8 times a week? Oye...can't they just get someone good?

Hello, gorgeous ones! I saw Kristen on this cover and just had to share. I am totally loving this whole look on her. We've all gotten so used to seeing her with her long, slightly greasy hair and a black dress or jeans and a hoodie, etc, so seeing her all done up with this amazing retro/glam hair in this white outfit is just delicious!!! I mean...it's completely wrong for her, but the drastic change for this shoot is refreshing :)!

Demi Lovato attacked onstage!!!

Hello, gorgeous ones. This is nuts! During a concert in Paraguay Demi Lovato was having a bad night (and even admitted it), and she let her fans come right up to the stage, but this caused some crazies to JUMP onstage and grab her. I'm sure they were just adoring fans (one of them even tried to hug her), but for a celebrity, or any performer, you don't expect anyone to jump onstage and grab you. Super scary. What's amazing is that she came back and didn't let it ruin the mood of the concert. Really great job Demi! Good job keeping your cool! Check out the video here.

Image of UFO near the Sun?!

Hello, gorgeous fans who look at the sky and wonder about alien life. This picture was released by NASA after one of their cameras watching the sun retrieved this image. An enormous, spaceship-like object appeared to be floating dangerously close to the sun. While scientists later reported that it's probably just some "solar streaks" that appeared on the camera. Hmm...well, I hope that if it IS an alien spaceship that the aliens inside it are wearing lots of sunscreen and are sexy, tall, alien men who love a redheaded, zaftig woman with some chutzpah! 

Lindsay Lohan a "Nightmare" on the Glee set!

Hello, gorgeous fans! So, Lindsay has been filming a guest spot on Glee for the past week or two, and supposedly her first couple days went really well and everyone was happy, but then this week, Lindsay was reportedly three hours late, which made everyone REALLY mad. The crew was calling her "That Girl" and were just pissed at her for arriving so late. Actress, Dot Marie Jones, tweeted ""Gonna be a long day!! Some ppl show up late and just throw a wrench in things. Not cool! I'd rather be an hour early (I was) than 5 minutes late," yikes...she later deleted the tweet. 


Lindsay's reps are saying that there was a mixup with the call time and that it was a total misunderstanding and that anyone who says differently is just trying to sabotage Lindsay. I don't know...I really...really...REALLY want Lindsay to make a comeback. I also have been the victim of vile, gossip and can relate...I've also had days where I just didn't want to wake up for rehearsal, slept in and pretended to be confused...so Lindsay...I'm with you girl, I'm with you. Also, I wouldn't want to wake up before noon if I had to deal with that cast all day...

Hello, gorgeous, adoring fans! I had told you earlier this week that Beyonce had been snubbing Kimye (reportedly waiting in her car outside a restaurant until Kim and Kanye left), but now it's gone even further. Jay-Z has forbidden Kanye to bring Kim on tour with them. YIKES! When I first heard about all this I thought it might be exaggerated, but Jay and Beyonce seem to really not want Kim mixing with them and theirs...eeek. Read more here.

Kathy Griffin's Talk Show gets awful ratings

Hello, gorgeous ones. I am a big Kathy Griffin fan. I love her comedy specials, I love her tv show, My Life On The D-List, I love it all, and I was so sad to read that her new talk show did so poorly in the ratings. What makes it worse is that Real Housewives of Atlanta comes before her, and got over 2 million views...Kathy's show didn't even get 1 million...yikes...hope things improve! I love her!

Hello, gorgeous. It's Barbra Streisand's birthday!!! 70 years young! The legend celebrated her birthday in Malibu with close friends like John Travolta, Steven Speilburg, etc. Turning 70 isn't holding her back from continuing her fabulous career. A movie version of Gypsy is in the works and Babs is set to star as the mother to end all mothers: Mama Rose. We have a feeling the songs were recorded at least a decade ago, so I'm sure Babs will sound fabulous, but it does seem sort of a stretch for a 70 year old to play a 45 year old...just saying...I'm available. ANYWAY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS!

Kris Jenner Music Video

Hello, gorgeous ones! So, this video has been up on youtube for a while, but I thought I'd remind everyone about it. When Kris Jenner turned 30, instead of letting her friends throw her a party and getting her a fabulous present, she decided to make a music video of a song with lyrics by her VERY young daughters, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney, telling everyone that she LOVES her friends. My favorite part is that she went to all the stores she goes to and had the employees do shoutouts...hairdressers, yard men, etc...oye. Also, on a scary note, at 3:20, O.J Simpson makes an appearance...which is absolutely terrifying. Check it out!

Ashley Madison, who runs website designed for people cheating on their spouses, girlfriends, etc, publicly offered $1 million to the person who can prove Tebow isn't a virgin, or to pop his cherry...wow. Well, I hate to break it to you, but he was with me JUST the other night...cough it up Ashley!

Battle of the eye shadow primers!

Hello, gorgeous ones. There are many different brands of eye shadow primer and most of the ones I've tried are actually good, but here are my thoughts on a few. One of the most popular ones is the Urban Decay primer potion. It's probably the most popular and it's easy to understand why: It is packaged nicely, it applies easily and it comes in a few different colors. I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. It does the job. Another one I REALLY like is the TOO Faced Shadow Insurance. I find this one is a little more sticky when you apply it, so things REALLY meld with it and just stay put. Urban Decay's primer potion is sheerer, I find this to be more heavy duty.

I think those two are my favorites, but I have tried others. MAC Paint pots are popular, but I find that they are too oily to really do the job they're supposed to do most of the time. Also, I LOVE NYX Jumbo Pencils, but seeing people use them as the only eye shadow base/primer is weird to me because they definitely, definitely crease without a little help from another product. The NARS Smudge Proof Eye Shadow primer is also very good, but it's $5 more than the Urban Decay and $6 more than the TOO Faced, so...unless you just LOVE NARS, I'd go for the other two. Also, the Smashbox primer is okay as well, I just don't find it superior to the TOO Faced or Urban Decay and it's slightly more expensive. I hope you all prime your eyes and have sparkly eye shadow ALL NIGHT LONG :)!

Hello, gorgeous ones. I wonder if Kris Humphries knows how pathetic he is? Now that Kim has gone public with her relationship with Kanye West, and there have been some talks about having Kanye on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kris's lawyers are using all this for their case. They're wondering how new the relationship is and how long have talks with the network been going on. Didn't they have a prenup?! Also, Kris and Kim's marriage was not the quickest celebrity marriage of all time or anything. I mean, it was a quick divorce, of course, but it's not like Kim is the queen of decision making. The one shady thing is that Amber Rose, Kanye's ex, claimed that she broke up her relationship with Kanye...and when was that...(does math)....? Hmmm...

Hello, gorgeous ones. People Magazine has named Beyonce their most BEAUTIFUL woman of 2012, which isn't so much of a surprise. Also, I asked not to be included in the options for this year, so that really made it easier for them to choose. In the article, Beyonce says, "I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt because I've given birth. I have never felt so connected, never felt like I had such a purpose on this earth."Awwww, that's so nice...that POOR child. Also nice to see Adele on the cover too!

Hello, gorgeous ones. It's been going around that Beyonce has totally given Kim the cold shoulder. Kim supposedly thought that now that she and Kanye are an item that she and Beyonce would becoming gal pals. Beyonce wants NONE of it. She supposedly thought that Kim's very public wedding and divorce was tacky and hates reality TV and reality stars in general. I mean...she's not wrong. Reality TV is the best/worst, but come on! It's Kim! You can't do ONE photo op??
