Star Wars: Old v.s New

Hello, my gorgeous, sci-fi loving fans! Tonight I've been watching the original Star Wars movies, but the ones where they've updated the original special effects with fancy, 3D special effects stuff. I just want to see all the painstakingly crafted little figurines and claymation! Geez! Also, I'm thinking of rocking out the Princess Leia buns one of these days...hmmm....

Tan Mom at XL Nightclub...wow....

Hello, my gorgeous, bronzed fans. So...for some reason Tan Mom ended up at the XL Nightclub for Hot Mess Wednesdays and made an entertaining, fool of herself. Thank goodness. I wonder how much she got paid for this appearance? Anyway, watch and enjoy...

Yay! Lindsay's moving to New York!

Hello, my gorgeous, Lindsay-loving fans! Well...the good news is that bars around the city will be doing good business, because Lindsay Lohan is moving back to the big apple. After a bunch of mishaps in LA with cars, hotel bills (she racked up a $50,000 hotel bill and hasn't paid it), and generally making a fool of herself, Lindsay is moving back to the BIG APPLE! I am hoping that she'll take a gander at starring in a show on the GREAT WHITE WAY! Imagine....Streetcar Named Desire starring Lindsay Lohan, with me as standby. Sounds good to me!

Mariah's twins being cute!

AWWW!!!

Adele has stolen my life once again...

Hello, my adoring fans. Sometimes I feel that Adele has stolen my life. All I want is to wear that muumuu top, black leggings and flats with a messy up do and walk around with my bear cub boyfriend. I mean, isn't that what ALL women/I want!?

Stills of Lindsay as LIZ!!!

Hello, my gorgeous, Liz Taylor loving fans! I am waiting with bated breath for ANY clips of Lindsay as Liz Taylor in the upcoming Lifetime biopic, Liz and Dick, but for now some stills from the movie will just have to do. OMG!!! We have a picture of Lindsay as a more "mature" Liz...I wonder how little they had to age her...we have a still of Lindsay as Liz in Cleopatra, the movie that Liz and Dick fell in love during the production...doesn't look very accurate...and THEN we have Lindsay as Liz probably in the late 60s, early 70s....I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS MESS!

Ke$ha with her cat at LAX...this looks familiar

Hello, my gorgeous, kitty-loving fans! "Songstress," Ke$ha was spotted at LAX holding her siamese cat in her arms....THAT CAT IS WELL BEHAVED! I have taken both my siamese cats into LAX, but I only had to take them out of their carriers when they went through security and they FLIPPED OUT. Obviously Ke$ha has this kitty under control...

Nail polish review

Hello, my gorgeous fans with sparkly nails! I just wanted to post about my new favorite nail color. I recommended it in my previous post about nail trends, but I wanted to show you a picture. It's OPI's "Did you 'ear about Van Gogh?" My camera isn't the best, but I am just obsessed with the greige color. If you don't like this kind of color, I get it, BUT this particular color goes on almost perfectly in one coat and then with the second coat it's just opaque perfection. Try it out!

More details will come as we get closer! Get excited!

Dance Moms...I love you

Hello, my gorgeous, twinkle-toed fans! So, this summer, I started watching my new guilty pleasure: Dance Moms. For those of you who don't know this show, it's a reality show centered on a dance team of young girls who all study with Abby Lee who owns and runs a prominent dance school in Pittsburgh. Abby Lee's mother also owned studios and taught, and Abby followed in her footsteps, claiming she opened her first studio at age 14! Abby is basically a nightmare, but is also completely likable at the same time.

Besides Abby, there are, of course, THE MOMS of the girls in the dance school. They are...just...special. They are like wannabe Real Housewives with awful, awful hair, awful clothes...they are just the best. The girls are all so cute and talented, but the real star is MADDIE, who is Abby's clear favorite. Abby Lee is a woman after my own heart. She does not mess around, and she always has a bumpit. I know there are SO many reality show to choose from, but if I had to choose just one, it'd for SURE be dance moms, not only because of the entertaining, awful ridiculous people, but the girls are truly talented and it's awesome to see them rock their dances! The show is on Lifetime, Tuesdays.

Fall Nail Trends! OooooOh!

Hello, my gorgeous fans who all have the best cuticles ever. I have rocking out some pale, minty green nails and some lovely nude colors all summer, but now it's time for fall and we must style our nails accordingly. Luckily, I'm very into this seasons trendiest nail looks. Here are a few...

One look is dark, midnight blue nails. I've never been into getting bright blue nails, but black nails are fab, so this is just a shade up. A good one is OPI, Russian Navy.

Another color that's very in for fall is burgundy, which is normally a great fall color. One that I swatched at the store and thought was very nice was Essie, Poor Little Rich Girl. It's a gorgeous, deep burgundy and you can't go wrong with this brand. Another one that is a more purplely rendition of this look is OPI's Romeo and Joliet. I really liked this color as well.

Black nails are always cool, but this fall there are a lot of twists you can try on your sleek looking black nails. One that is pretty cool is using a mattifying product like Essie's Mate about you, and creating a completely different texture for your black nails. The picture I posted is someone who is SOO cool and used the matte product and then created an awesome black french by keeping the tips shiny. SO cool, I definitely will be trying this.

Pale nude colors are also in for this Fall. One that I just bought is Did you 'ear about Van Gogh? It's a grayish nude color that I really like. I tried another one before it that I thought would be similar, but it ended up looking like pink putty on my nails...ew. This is much better.

I kind of already mentioned this one, but another Fall trend is a "French Twist." Trying something different with the typical french manicure look. I jumped the ball a little and had a red french manicure for Bombshell Baby, and I also had a black french for fun the other week, so now that this is a trendy, seasonal look, I will be doing a LOT more of it! ALSO! Look! Lana Del Rey and Adele do it!

True Blood Season Finale (SPOILERS!)

Hello, my beautiful, bloodsucking fans! So last night was the season finale of one of my favorite TV shows, TRUE BLOOD! Even though I had some mixed feelings about this season, I have to say I thought it was OODLES better than the previous one. What's so crazy about this show is that in this season only two weeks passed in the True Blood world, so while we're waiting week after week for new episodes, not very much time has gone by in the world of the show.

There seem to be more characters than ever on True Blood, and thankfully a few of them were disposed of last night. I especially enjoyed Sam turning back into a human while in fly form INSIDE the redhead  authority vamp. THAT was cool. RUSSEL IS DEAD and poor Steve Newlin!!! Who will bring him to fraternity bloodbaths now?! I was also THRILLED to see Tara and Pam make out, but even more than that, I LOOOOVED how Pam tried to play it cool when she saw Eric for the first time in maybe A WEEK, and then got positively flustered and girly when he and Sookie went back for Bill. Oh, Pam. You TRY and act all tough, but you just can't help getting vulnerable around viking vampire, Eric. Me too...me too. Also, JASON! Stop making Jessica cry! Hasn't she been through enough this week, what with Hoyt going to Alaska and her vampire daddy acting like a douchebag?!

Just in case anyone was wondering, Bill totally sucks. He tricked Salome into silvering herself, he sent out vamp soldiers, which Jason, with his super police man skills, easily took out (what's going on with him hallucinating his parents?), and then he drank all of Lilith's blood, exploded, made Sookie cry a lot, and then REMATERIALIZED from the PUDDLE OF BLOOOD and is naked and bloody like Lilith...well...maybe I'll hate him less if we get some full frontal in the next season.

Anyway, I don't know quite what the point of this post was, all I know is that I love True Blood, and I can't believe I have to wait a year for more!! UGH!

Songs from Bombshell Baby!

Hello, my gorgeous, broadway loving fans! So, as most of you know, I starred in an original musical called Bombshell Baby at Ensemble Studio Theater in NYC this summer. The show was full of awesome original songs by Christiana Little and Rachel Felstein and here are some of them!

"Not Woman Enough"

"Not Afraid to Fly"

"Overqualified for Life"

Make Up Forever HD foundation review!

Hello, my beautiful, flawless fans. It's been a big summer, what with the successful run of Bombshell Baby, trips to Disney World, etc, but now I'm back! I want to get started with a review of a product I started using during the run of Bombshell Baby! For the past few videos we made and the show I did at the Duplex, I used a really heavy, awful foundation by Max Factor that I thought would give me a lot of coverage...but it just felt awful on my skin and I couldn't stand it. SO, I walked into Sephora and they were having a special deal on the Make Up Forever HD Foundation. I got the foundation, the HD primer, and the amazing HD powder for $70. Normally, the foundation and powder alone would be $80, so throwing in the primer, which is normally $30, made it a great, great deal.

So I happily brought these new products to my dressing room. The primer is great, but I knew that because I had used it before. I applied the foundation and I was just instantly THRILLED with it. For a liquid foundation it feels so wonderful on the skin. It's easily blended (I use my Samanthan Chapman foundation brush) and the coverage is really amazing. I've been wearing it daily and using less product for a more natural look, but this foundation is easy to build on and was good for stage as well. Also, I look stunning in the pictures, so it was clearly working :)! If you use liquid foundation, I highly recommend this one. Here is the foundation in action...

Also wearing Yves Saint Laurent concealer, Ben Nye concealer, MUFE HD Powder, MAC Russian Red Lipstick, MAC Nylon eyeshadow, NYX brown shadow, Kat Von D Tattoo liquid liner, MUFE lower lashes, etc.

elf High Definition Powder V.S MUFE High Definition Powder

Hello, my gorgeous, flawless looking fans! This past weekend I used a LOT of makeup for Bombshell Baby! and tried a lot of new things I had purchased, but hadn't had a chance to use. One of these was the elf High Definition Powder. I had used the MUFE High-def powder for a while. I liked it a lot, besides when it came to flash photos in areas I applied a lot (like concealer), but I was interested in another option, especially one that costs less than $10.

The MUFE powder costs $32 and while it is WONDERFUL, I honestly can't say it is wildly better than the elf powder which is $6. I have issues with the MUFE packaging. It is difficult to get the powder out. The elf package comes with a powder puff of a pretty good quality and it is just a nicer packaging. It's larger, so maybe it's not for carrying in your purse, but it's a superior package. The ingredients to these powders are actually very similar. The MUFE powder is truly better, but for $26 more, I would choose the elf powder over it for every day. A makeup artist would definitely want to go for the MUFE powder.

I used both of these during the show and found them both to be wonderful.
